Room 2 now have a better understanding of what the key areas in the AVALON acrostic mean after a number of discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Each statement in blue was broken down to what it means for us in Room 2 as learners (in yellow.) We were then able to co-construct our classroom rules agreement (OCRs). Fantastic job Room 2.

Active learning in Room 2
This is evidence of 2 week's worth of learning in Room 2. Our writing is on the wall about who we are.
Inquiry about Leadership is displayed with our prior knowledge and our wonderings.
Learning about how recount texts are put together and the purpose for them is modelled for us to refer to.
Active reflection bubbles remind us that we have to think about what we are thinking about.
Great job Room 2.

Tabloid Sports EOTC week
Tabloid sports was a lot of fun because the teams competed in fun and interesting games.
Mika and his team were doing the wet relays games - transferring water from one bucket to another bucket whilst tossing a juggling baton was not easy. The team who filled their bucket the quickest were the winners.
Robin and his team thought this game was a lot of fun and challenging at the same time. It was hard to run with a cup of water in your hand tossing a baton at the same time.
Indoor Sports for EOTC week
At the Indoor Sports Centre at Hutt Park, the whole school were split up into 13 teams and participated in a round robin of different sports such as soccer, hockey, ultimate frisbee, non-stop cricket, netball, dodgeball and pictionary....it was awesome.
Isaiah R's reflection - "My most enjoyable moment was the indoor sports because I really got engaged in all the sports that my team got assigned too. I really participated in every single sport."
Robin's reflection - "I was in group 7. Our first sport was ultimate frisbee when we had to throw the frisbee to our team mates on the other side of the court. It was our first win. We faced a very challenging team at the dodgeball sport. Unfortunately we got beaten."
